ABOUT

I studied Fine Art at the University of Brighton, graduating in 2009. A lot of the time my focus is on portraiture and I draw inspiration from 1980s pop culture (think Murder she Wrote, The Golden Girls, Dynasty), but I also explore landscapes (a lot of the time in my sketchbook). I work across mediums depending on the project, so I jump between watercolour, acrylic, pencil, ink, embroidery and charcoal.

I was commissioned by ArtFund and the Jewish Museum London to create a large scale drawing which formed a crucial part of the Amy Winehouse: A Family Portrait exhibition in March 2017. I've created work for arts venues in the South East, London galleries and international clients, and in 2019 I designed the Family Trail for Hastings Contemporary Gallery.

Alongside writer John Murray I co-create and co-curate Celebrate the Mountains, a weekly arts and creative writing newsletter sent straight to your email. You can sign up here.

My first solo show, Untitled (Miss. Ms. Other), was hosted by St Mary in the Castle's Crypt Gallery in April 2017, and my latest exhibition, You are an Ocean and I am a Living Thing, was at the Poetry Society in Covent Garden, London in 2018.

I am Director of Fun House Arts CIC, a community interest company whose goal is to create a vibrant programme of workshops and events which gives young people the chance to develop specialist creative arts and design-based skills.

I'm also a freelance artist educator who works with schools to enrich the national curriculum and with community groups to help develop skills.
